Ramps found in public places should not have an incline of more than 6%. Above 6000 mm, a mid-platform of 1500 mm is required (see DIN 18024-1). Although non-official, the following rules can normally be applied when calculating the incline of a ramp. Independent wheelchair users: under 10%, Independent wheelchair users with restricted movement: up to 6%, Wheelchair users who are being pushed: up to 20%.
